On July 15th about 7.30pm I witnessed possibly the worst customer service I have ever seen. I was in a queue waiting to be served and a lady in front of me spoke to a female dispenser at the Tesco pharmacy counter. I don’t know if the reason for the dispenser’s patronising and insulting attitude was because the customer was using a mobility scooter, but it was unacceptable. The customer was asking a relatively simple question about a particular cream her doctor had prescribed. The dispenser then went behind the counter to speak to the pharmacist for a second opinion. I saw her crouch down and giggle and joke about the customer. The pharmacist then came and spoke to the customer and spoke in an abrupt and condescending manner. I was disgusted with the poor customer service, but most importantly with the lack of empathy and professionalism a pharmacist should always demonstrate. She was an embarrassment to her profession. Both the dispenser and the pharmacist should not be allowed to treat anyone like that. The customer was clearly asking for advice and was so patient. Tesco need to respond to my comment.
