As a concerned spectator, I recently witnessed a distressing incident at Rowlands Pharmacy that left me utterly disappointed with their customer service and overall professionalism. The encounter I observed revealed a lack of empathy and understanding on the part of one of their staff members, casting a dark shadow over the reputation of the establishment. During my visit, I observed an elderly gentleman who had come to collect his prescription medication. The situation quickly escalated when he was approached by a staff member named Miranda, who appeared to have a condescending attitude from the very beginning. Miranda erroneously accused the gentleman of having already collected his medication the previous month, implying that he was at fault for the confusion. What struck me the most was the sheer rudeness and insensitivity displayed by Miranda. Instead of approaching the situation with patience and understanding, she immediately placed blame on the customer, making him feel like he had made a mistake. It was disheartening to witness the distress this caused the elderly gentleman, who was clearly confused and in need of assistance. Fortunately, another staff member intervened and corrected Miranda's mistake, revealing her incompetence and lack of attention to detail. However, the damage was already done, and the elderly gentleman was left feeling humiliated and disrespected by the pharmacy staff. As a spectator, it is disconcerting to witness such unprofessional behavior in a healthcare setting. Patients, especially the elderly, should be treated with utmost care and respect. Rowlands Pharmacy failed to meet even the most basic standards of customer service, leaving me deeply concerned about the treatment of other vulnerable individuals who rely on their services. It is imperative that Rowlands Pharmacy takes immediate action to address the lack of professionalism displayed by their staff members. Proper training and supervision should be implemented to ensure that incidents like the one I witnessed do not recur. Every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and compassion, and Rowlands Pharmacy must uphold these principles. Based on my observations, I cannot in good conscience recommend Rowlands Pharmacy to others. The distressing encounter I witnessed, marred by rude and insensitive behavior, reflects poorly on the pharmacy's commitment to customer satisfaction and quality care. Spectators and potential customers should exercise caution and explore alternative options that prioritize professionalism and empathy in their services.

It is crucial for a pharmacy, as a provider of vital healthcare services, to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and customer care. Based on my experience as a university lecturer and as someone who values the importance of professionalism, I find it challenging to recommend Rowlands Pharmacy to my students and colleagues. The incident I witnessed raises concerns about the overall culture and commitment to excellence within the organization. It is my hope that Rowlands Pharmacy takes this feedback constructively, addresses the identified shortcomings, and strives for continuous improvement in their services. As educators, we encourage our students to learn from real-life examples.
