Very unhelpful older man in pharmacy told me that my prescription medicine was not available due to manufacturing problems and that there was no alternative so could not help me. Strange how another pharmacy found there was indeed an alternative and dispensed it to me no problem !

I had to wait at the counter for 10 mins as the pharmacist and her assistant were busy or pretending to be busy looking at the computer. Then when I finally asked for my prescription, they gave mine but said my husband’s prescription was not on the system despite us getting a call from them on Friday to collect them. The pharmacist said I know there is a prescription but I cannot see it. Then she couldn’t find where one of the medicines were on the shelf behind her. I had to point it out to her.

I am speechless and absolutely disgusted with the service of this Somali guy called pharmacist. He does not deserve to be pharmacist at all. He has no manner or respects what so ever. I was referred by 111 to their pharmacy on Sunday but he refused to provide my medication. I had to make several calls to 111 in order to get emergency supply. He actually tried to challenge me that I should go somewhere else and collect my medication because I am not his patient. I honestly say this guy needs to be removed from pharmacy professional. It was not my choice to go to his store but it was the only pharmacy that is open on Sunday. This is very unacceptable behaviour and humiliating patients. “Go to another pharmacy”. The fact that he did not suggested me where to go but he refused to supply my medication. I was shaken and unwell but I had to wait over 2 hrs and 50 mins and eventually his (cousin) another somali pharmacist provide my medication according to the referral Dr. I am very curious that if the place is running by proper pharmacist?? If it is then how come two pharmacists does not know how to deal with 111 referral?? Is it a day they get together in the pharmacy but do not care about patient? Ponders end service needs review and some foreigner pharmacist needs to be retrained again. I did not go to ask him an emergency supply it was a referral from 111, he does not want to follow the instruction from 111 doctor and supply my medication. Ponders end pharmacy agreed to NHS to provide CPCS, however, CPCS can only take place according to the mood of pharmacist at this store. Basically If he does not wanted to provide any medication then patient need to call back to 111 and ask the referral to be transfer to another open pharmacy. There was another Somali pharmacist which she was willing to help and she eventually sorted out my medication and give to me. He is very thick and argumentative, unfortunately I will not recommended anyone to go to ponders end pharmacy or referral. C.K
