As you can see from the receipt I purchased Piriteze. I asked for two boxes of 30 tablets and was given one box of 30 tablets and one box of 14 tablets. Obviously, a simple error. I immediately asked if I could swap the 14 tablet box for a 30 tablet box. The cashier said that she did not know how to do a refund and asked for assistance from the pharmacist. The pharmacist was content to do a refund on the grounds that it was the cashier’s error, but he could not do it either and to come back on Tuesday when, I assume, someone else will be present that has been trained to do refunds. I explained that I live 70 miles away and I am only here visiting family for the bank holiday weekend. I was then told by the pharmacist that there was nothing that can be done. They simple could not do anything. I think this is outrageous. Why were the people, especially the pharmacist, not trained to do refunds? This lack of competence with providing basic training is very concerning. Ordinarily, I would not dream of telling them how to run their business, but if I were the pharmacist in this situation, I would have taken back the 14 tablet box, apologised for the inconvenience and given the box of 30 tablets with the £2 difference waived. I suggested this to the pharmacist and was told that level of decision making is beyond his authority. Again, back to the lack of basic customer service training. Very concerning. I can’t help thinking that a lack of training in this area could be indicative of a lack of training elsewhere. Suggest avoid this place.
