new to the locality and just had second experience of two lost in system prescriptions. Boots sent me back again to my GP as they had not got our scripts after a week. GP again said they had and i returned to boots. They again scanned the computer and found them ths time but they had not been fulfilled after a week. I was told they had around 400 scripts that day. That is a large income for Boots and they are obviously understaffed to handle this amount. Whilst waiting 3 elderly people were sent away, 2 with sticks who had travelled by bus, as after a few days their scripts were not ready. No one wants to have to travel unnecessarily when they are unwell and elderly. My complaint is not directed at the staff as it seems they are doing their best but consideration given to a pharmacist whose duties have now increased to one-to- one consultations, further income for boots, taking them away from dispensing duties. I undersrand why the NHS is shifting more work to pharmacists and boots need to respond with their staffing and facilities.Furthermore, the size of the pharmacy area it out of proportion to the size of the shop and considering income from dispensing perhaps a larger area would allow more stock so that you would not have to wait a day to collect routine medications. So will collect directly from my GP in future so we can choose the most reliable local pharmacy. Just saying...
