This pharmacy has provided me with my regular medications for a few years and has worked tirelessly to provide this service throughout the pandemic. Yes you have to queue sometimes due to Covid, but also queued for supermarkets, butchers etc. Access to Syston Health Centre was worse. For me, the staff are plentiful, direct but efficient, and good with advice when needed. |

Terrible customer service. Always huge queues. No waiting space. Last month I was berated by a member of staff there for not waiting for the text to say my repeat prescription is ready. This month I gave over 8 working days notice (plus two days at the weekend) and I still haven't received a text regarding my essential prescription that is dangerous if I suddenly stop taking. what used to be a half way decent pharmacy is now so bad that I have had to move to one further away. I have just returned from yet another visit to pick up the bits of my monthly prescription which they did not have last Thursday only to be told that it had not arrived (this after waiting for 20 minutes behind 4 people who each had complaints about the service. After a further wait I was told that they had found some. There has been a problem & at least a 20 minute wait with every visit for the last several months. A complaint & interview with the manager at the time resulted in them blaming the incompetence of the previous staff,! Things were running fairly well then but have become worse with every visit since the change. Of the 7 or so people that I had words with in the pharmacy on my last visit, most were planning to move to another one in Syston so Boots had better buck their ideas up or what must have been a good money earner will fail. The principal reason for my moving is that I don't feel safe. I also feel sorry for the serving staff who seem to do their best under constant pressure from customers who are understandably fed up with waiting in a queue whilst errors are sorted. They obviously have no proper procedures to follow. As the section below does not allow further information other than one visit I should say that I have used this Pharmacy every month since its construction & am sad to see the decline.
