I am reviewing the Kettering branch. I live in Northampton, but I work and have a partner in Kettering. Originally used Jhoots, because of the late opening hours and they were able to get the private medicines I required. And at the start they were excellent, always helpful and couldn't do enough for you. But over the last 18 months / 2 years, they have drastically gone down hill. I know it's been hard for everybody and we have all had to adapt to the changes, but they seem to be driven by profits now and not much customer care at all. Most of the staff are fine. But in the last year, we have been given medicine, that was ment for someone else, but we were missing ours, the one we got wasn't dangerous, but if someone else received ours, it could have had severe consequences. Given a price of £96.00 for private medication, so arranged for them to order it and was told they would ring me when they were in. Never did get a phone call and when we collected it, we were told it was going to cost us £136.00. They would rather let the customers wait in excess of 30 minutes, before getting seen, than employ an extra member of staff. You think it's bad now, wait until the government makes the chemist take on part of the GP's services!!! And they may as well take all the shelving down as there hasn't been any stock in there for well over a year. I would like to know if it's just me and I am unlucky or if other people have had similar experiences.
