No improvement to this joke of a pharmacy after reading the previous reviews and official responses. Prescriptions are never ready regardless of how long you give them. You always have to come back another time or wait on the spot. Why am I always told ‘it’s not quite ready yet, but it will be in 20-40 minutes’, even after 5-7 days notice. Every visit I hear this same excuse given to myself and other customers who I witness making the same complaint. This place is physically attached to the GP surgery and is a huge waste of what should be a perfect partnership. Despite feedback from auditors on this website that the regional manager will be informed, no improvements have been made at all. It should be sold to another company so perhaps something might actually change.

I understand this must be very frustrating, especially as you have given the pharmacy plenty of time to dispense your prescription. It doesn’t matter how far in advance you put your prescription in, they will always tell you ‘oh it’s not quite done yet, it’ll be xx minutes or hours’. Regularly I give a weeks notice or more from using the SystmOnline ordering process, but funnily enough the answer on attempted collection is ‘we are just getting to that one!’. I have never been able to simply collect my order, the sequence is always: 1) order prescription, 2) attempt collection 3-5 days later, fail due to ‘not quite ready’, 3) come back at alloted time and still wait/not have the full order. The queues here are always slow, with staff often unable to find part or whole orders and increasingly irritated looking customers. Unfortunately this is the only nearby pharmacy and is attached to my surgery.

Went to collect medication today at 9am - two days after due date. “Not available yet”, as usual. Called again at 11:45 and joined queue... Much sighing from all customers but we are all far too polite to complain... The manager was, as usual, trying his best and running around like a headless chicken but not managing anything. This place needs reorganising to provide much more space for dispensing and a significant increase in staffing. It needs to dispense prescriptions as they arrive and order medications on time.
