Tesco Norham Road are my nominated Pharmacy. Only used this system once before which was fine. On second occasion the pharmacy staff told me that my prescription was not with them (electronic). I called surgery while I was at the pharmacy and they confirmed that the prescription was complete and now in the Tesco system. The pharmacy assured me it had not been sent to them. I had to leave without medication. I called the surgery the next day and they confirmed again that the prescription had been processed and Tesco should have it in their system. I called Tesco and again was told its not here. They checked my name on the system and said there was nothing. Only when I became a little distressed as I was going away for 3 days and needed the medication did the pharmacist say he would go into the system and check if my surgery had actually issued a prescription. At this point I was told oh its on the "spine" and has not come down I will need to manually pull this down. I am reliably informed that this is an every day process that should be done many times a day. I am informed my a practice manager that the pharmacy should have done this as soon as my doctors confirmed the prescription had been successfully sent. I will now change my nominated pharmacy to a non Tesco outlet.
