Unlike Boots who have a messaging service to advise when there is a prescription ready to pick up Davids has nothing so we rely on good communications, but. We wait 3 -4 days before we ring to check if our medications are ready to collect. Due to the distance we have to ring to check. Currently we are finding that the phone is not being answered and often picked up and immediately put down. This means that we then have to visit the pharmacy to find out it isn’t ready yet. For us without transport it is a wasted taxi journey. Our neighbours will no longer put up with parking and queuing only to find out it isn’t ready. In addition sometimes prescriptions are no totally completed requiring a further repeat visit. It is good to see a local business doing so well but am surprised that it relies on / necessitates a skilled pharmacist to answer the phone ……. or not. Surely in peak times a ‘part time’, even a senior school person could be employed to simply answer the phone, look in the box, and confirm that medication is ready for collection? This is even more concerning/frustrating when it is a new prescription that requires the medication to be taken immediately. |

I have changed from my local Tesco Pharmacy as it was so badly run. Not enough staff and always a long queue. David pharmacy are approachable by phone and very helpful. |

My prescription was sent to this pharmacy a Wednesday, I went to collect on Saturday and was told it only arrived that day and would take half an hour so I decided to collect it on Monday. On Monday I was told it would be half an hour as they were very busy, when I told them it should have been ready on Saturday I was told that the were very busy and that I should give them time. I said to the woman at the reception what would have happened if I ran out of my medication I was told in no uncertain terms and I quote. You will just have to do without. So much for efficiency. |
