I have been using this pharmacy for decades and have found the facilities and staff polite and professional at all times.

I have been using this pharmacy during the past ten years and never had an argument there as its staff was always polite and very helpful. As a matter of fact, I choose this small pharmacy over Boots, where there is much more variety of products, because of the staff. Unfortunately, yesterday I met this lady pharmacist whose arrogance and sense of entitlement is dissonant from the behaviour and friendliness of other members of the staff. We had a short argument. No foul words were exchanged but the experience was distressing and unpleasant. It was also surprising because, as I said, I never had problems with the staff of that pharmacy. I don't think I ever saw her before. Then again, I don't go there every day. I tried to get clopidogrel for my friend who is 77 years old and has two stents in her left neck. She needs clopidogrel in order to avoid blood clots that could kill her. But the lady pharmacist refused to help me because of my attitude. Then she said that by law, I couldn't collect my friend's medication !!! Why is it that the pharmacist is contradicting what the NHS says? I guess she needs to go back to her books and study more. She should also do some sort of human relations course. Many people crossing the doors of the place where she works are tired and worried because they are there on behalf of beloved friends and relatives who are ill at home. My “attitude” was to express impatience when she asked, with a negative expression on her face, if I have ever collected prescriptions there before. I told her that I had been going to that pharmacy for years. And what happened with the customer is always right ? The pharmacist's behaviour is typical from the culture of entitlement of a generation of university students “educated” by the likes of facebook and its echo chambers. They are authoritarian and intolerant and just don’t accept or acknowledge any views different from their own views on any subject or aspect of life. They don’t accept to be questioned about their thinking or behaviour on any matter. The lady pharmacist at H. Lloyd Chemist seems to lack customers service skills in addition to her ignorance about the law. There was another complaint against her just two months ago. As for my friend who takes clopidogrel , I have her authorisation to deal with any matters related to her health. The authorisation is on the her files at Kensington Park Medical Centre, which is just 100 meters from the pharmacy. But the lady pharmacist at H Lloyd decided that she was the one entitled to decide who could deal with matters related to my friend’s health or not.
