Here’s why:
1. Friendly, well informed, knowledgeable pharmacists and health care staff.
2. Staff always try to solve a problem, late prescription, for example, they will do their utmost to chase the GP surgery up, they have even given ‘emergency supply’ prescription repeat medications, to known patients.
3. Staff always have time to talk with patients, and do not make me feel rushed or as if they are just doing ‘lip service’. In a world of increasingly corporate pharmacies, Superdrug Chapel Market Pharmacy, is the only one, in islington (and probably, London) that still has commmunity values.
4. ***most importantly!*** staff do the prescriptions there and then, very quickly. This is the best part. Boots, in Angel, take hours, if you give them an on the day prescription. Superdrug, don’t ‘punish’ you, for bringing a prescription and needing the meds there and then. Hardly any queues, ever. Fast, efficient service.
5. Pharmacists and staff are lovely, helpful and just, friendly. Positive, open, friendly attitude is hard to come by these days. Boots, Angel healthcare staff by contrast, are not knowledgeable about meds. I was offered Feminax (Naproxen, an anti inflammatory drug), when I said I had INDIGESTION cramps. No understanding of Buscopan, or Colpermin capsules or peppermint oil.
6. Pharmacy staff at Superdrug, are consistent, regular faces, and therefore have consistency, knowledge and EXPERIENCE, something that Boots, Angel, Pharmacy, is severely lacking. A small, dedicated pharmacy team, at Superdrug, is all you need. Not a rotating staff of 50 plus, like at Boots, Angel. Where, evidently, the concern is commercial and not patient care and/or satisfaction.
7. Branded medications, not generic prescription medications, just so you know.
Credit, where credit is due. This is a great pharmacy, and lucky we have them in Islington. Original Comment Report... |
