I called into this pharmacy this afternoon, having been fobbed off by another pharmacy in town. My NHS prescription (which I pay for) is for sodium clodronate 800mg, which I have taken for a year. The usual procedure is that I pay for the prescription, it is then ordered by the pharmacy and I collect it the following day. I explained this to the assistant at Lloyds in Tring, who disappeared to speak to someone out of my sight. She then returned to say that sodium clodronate 800mg was not listed, but only 400mg - did I mean that? I told her I could only go by what was on the prescription. She suggested I return home to collect a sample of the drug to bring back to them (presumably as some kind of proof). Fortunately I am fully with it, but what if not? Would the pharmacist have ordered 400mg and persuaded a patient that this what was needed? It's bad enough been ill enough to have to take this medicine (bone cancer) without this totally unprofessional service.

Hi Fiona I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a poor experience when visiting this branch and can assure you this isn’t the level of service we expect for our customers. Could you please contact our Customer Care Team on 0345 600 3565 and select option 2? We’d like to get this looked into. Thanks Jas
