Staff are unhelpful and show no care or consideration to someone who is clearly ill and in extreme pain. After visiting an emergency dentist on Sunday, the pharmaciist would not complete the prescription because the receptionist had missed off the address of the surgery. I had been waiting for the appointment since calling 111 that morning. By this time I was running a high temperature, feeling faint with the pain and one side of my face was swollen. Whilst the staff on 111 spoke to the pharmacist I was left atvthe desk, in great disyress and pain, offered no privacy, care or concern, whilst Sunday shoppers gawped at the spectacle. Since visiting my own dentist I have found that not only was the prescription not stro ng enough, but I am also going to be referred to maxillofacial surgery. The pharmacist would not accept a faxed copy of the prescription, causing a delay of my first possible chance of getting much needed penicillin into my system. Whilst I appreciate rules are needed for security, when a legal alternative is offered to allieviate pain and distress, surely good judgement can be used. I also realise staff are not trained to the same standard as in the NHS, but I would have imagined there might have been some care for a persons wellbeing and dignity. I will not be using any Boots stores again, and don't expect to see this review published.
