We're developing a new store model which focuses on the things that matter most to our customers and fundamentally changes how our pharmacy teams work. We've redesigned the dispensing process and introduced new stock monitoring measures so that you don't have to wait for your medicines, and we've freed up our pharmacists to spend more time helping our customers.
As part of this, we're also bringing new technology into our pharmacies. This includes 24/7 prescription pick-up machines – meaning you can collect your medicine any time, day or night – and a text notification service, so we can let you know when your prescription is ready to collect.

I am having to review this chemist now as I hope this does not happen to other sick and disabled patients relying on repeat prescription delivery. I rely on vital medications to be delivered to myself and this chemist has failed me on many occasions. Waiting in all afternoon and having to ring up to be told I wasn't on the list. 11 days from putting in prescription to receiving it, or not receiving it on this occasion! Maybe because the chemist writing the request on a scrap of paper might not be the most efficient way to order and put delivery requests in for a patient. I have put my request in for medication in good time because of this and on one occasion they waited untill the delivery day on a Friday to tell me that my medication had been discontinued and I needed to get an alternative from the GP, not 2 weeks previous when I put the request in but on the day I needed my medication! What can I do at 4pm on a Friday, leaving me without medication again! I am changing chemists now for delivery as they really can not be trusted to do this important job of ordering, dispensing and delivering medications. Original Comment Report... No problem with the service provided, however on a few occasions now medication has been dispensed by this pharmacy without the patient information leaflets! This needs addressing immediately. You must be aware that all medicines dispensed are required to have a PIL as stated on the www.gov.uk website regarding 'medicines, medical devices and blood regulation and safety - guidance'..for your information, it states...'Unless all the information is on the pack, all medicines must include a PIL, regardless of how patients get them. PILs must:
be easy to understand
not contain personal information that can identify an individual, including names of staff members or digital signatures
Each product authorised under a marketing authorisation must have its own leaflet as explained in our best practice guidance on patient information leaflets....' Original Comment Report... | |||||||
