I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment of my 82 year old mother. The pharmacist was rude and verging on abusive, ordering her out of the chemist. Served another customer while other people were waiting. Challenged my mum for no apparent reason when she was talking to an assistant about her prescription. Demanded to know why she couldn't wait for 10 minutes as the old lady had 'bad feet', this to an 82yr old who needs to take controlled drugs to manage her pain! Unfortunately I don't live in Biddulph so am unable to go and challenge this in person. It has had a hugely negative effect on her. I am a registered nurse and understand the pressures on all staff dealing with acute and chronically ill people, both in primary and secondary care settings. This man, needs to consider his attitude to all customers. He should reflect on how his behaviour affects others. I feel he should not be working at this level, and should not be being supported by the NHS. I have advised my mum to use another pharmacy and to raise a complaint with her gp practice.
