Delays in receiving and processing prescriptions result in needless walks to Heavitree and joining slow-moving queues - the phone line is often engaged. Their longstanding excuse about installing a new computer system does not affect traditional good practice such as filing prescription notices in alphabetical order to avoid the inevitable long-winded end-to-end search through a large sheaf of papers while the length of the queue increases. The staff are as friendly as they can be when under such stress - particularly those who moved over when Lloyds Magdalen Road Pharmacy closed, but I cannot recommend them to potential customers. If things do not improve we will be looking elsewhere or using a prescription delivery service, a great pity as personal visit involve physical exercise and human contact.

My husband has been trying to get his tablets for two weeks now - there are always 10 or 12 people waiting ahead of him when he goes in to collect the medication and the pharmacy either cannot find his prescription or has not filled it yet (can you wait an hour?). They often use the excuse that they are installing a new computer but the notices to this effect are beginning to fade in the sun they are so old. Although this pharmacy is the most convenient for us it is also by far the least efficient. They are a disgrace and should not be allowed to practice. We have now taken our prescriptions to a different pharmacy and have had first class results.

Repeat prescription not ready. Returned a week later still not ready. No understanding of how important the medication is. Have had to go elsewhere. Complete chaos in shop, queue out the door. Overwhelmed staff who are curt and unhelpful. No professionalism. Go elsewhere!
