A few weeks ago I ordered items online on the click and collect service. Received a text to say parcel was ready to collect, but when I went to collect was told it ha not arrived. Went home, called Boots Customer Services to ask why the text was sent when the parcel had not arrived in store, to be told that it must have arrived or wouldn't have been scanned in, but was advised that I could receive a refund on that order and reorder for the following day. Next day a text arrived to say parcel was in store. Went to store, no parcel, waited for the assistant to call customer services to see what had happened. After they chatted for 15 minutes, said there was nothing they could do as the parcel must be at another store. I almost exploded, and was passed the phone to talk to CS, told them to cancel and I'd get from elsewhere, was told that they couldn't cancel for 48 hrs, then my card would be credited in a few days. Went home. My mum who had also ordered for click and collect called to say she'd been contacted to say her parcel was at the store, could I collect it? Phoned store to check before I had another wasted trip. Same person I had argued with earlier said they would go and have a look. Yes the parcel was there, and you'll never guess??? There are two parcels here for you too, they were in the consultation room.... Surely if a customer has come in to collect, even if the assistant who took the order in had gone home the parcel should be in a place where it can be seen? Or not? Today, dropped in prescription for myself and my husband, and was told I'd have to come back to collect after 11 as they were busy. Went back at 3:30 and kept waiting for 10 mins before someone came out to say they couldn't find the prescriptions. after another 15 mins they came back with items, and two owing slips for me to come back after 11 tomorrow. When you leave a prescription, to be collected after a certain time, surely it can't be that difficult to have it ready? The whole point of going back later is for the items to be picked packed & checked ready for collection. Or not? I really would not use this pharmacy but it is the only one in the village, so unless I drive to Sainsbury it's the only option.
