The pharmacy as they could prescribe what I needed without seeing the doctor ........rang the pharmacy and was told to pick it up in the middle of the week, as it is gout that I have and is extremely painful and cannot get my shoe on I needed an immediate prescription so I will now have to book to see the doctor tomorrow so that I may get my prescription ...........how come this chemist has more staff than other chemist but takes four days to dispense, someone needs to find out because it used to be the best chemist in Cannock but gone downhill now.

I am sorry to hear that your experience with the pharmacy was unsatisfactory and caused you an inconvenience. The pharmacy does offer an emergency supply service which enables patients to receive a short supply of medication, that is regularly taken, until a prescription can be produced from the GP surgery. Unfortunately it seems you were not given the opportunity to speak with the pharmacist to see if you were eligible for this service and this will be looked into further. We do ask that patients allow 4 working days from ordering a repeat prescription to picking it up at the pharmacy - this accommodates the 48 hours GP surgeries ask for to process a repeat request and 48 hours for us to complete prescriptions and solve any queries that may arise.
