Every time I get my medication it is either never in stock or you can never get through. It’s never a simple process

I have been on the Cleggs repeat prescription service for a number of years. For the second consecutive occasion (and there have been earlier instances), Cleggs have failed to request my prescription from the surgery when asked to do so. So, again, I have run out of my medication. On each occasion, it has been left to me to chase the prescription up from the surgery. I thought they are offering a SERVICE? Why did nobody take ownership for checking whether the request had been submitted to the surgery (and it hadn’t)? Why should I be given the problem to solve? For a fit and able person like me, this “service” is a matter of convenience and I can manage without my medication for a few days. For the elderly, people with special needs or without transport, it is essential and many people cannot be without their medication even for a day without consequences. Therefore, they MUST get it right! On this basis, I raised my concerns with the pharmacist in charge. She was completely disinterested in my feedback. I was told “we always send the requests” but there was no response why I asked how she knew? She simply blamed the surgery. I was royally fobbed off. I would prefer to be supporting local businesses, but not if they are inefficient, lazy and take my custom for granted. Reluctantly, I am off to Boots!
