 Pharmacy Information
We've made it our mission to take the hassle out of prescriptions. To do this, we're changing how we work so that we can give you more choice in how you get your medicines.

Whether you're under the weather or on long-term medicines, managing and collecting your prescriptions can add unnecessary extra stress. In the UK, the pharmacy model hasn't really moved on in the last 70 years, and we're working to change that.

Our pharmacies

We're developing a new store model which focuses on the things that matter most to our customers and fundamentally changes how our pharmacy teams work. We've redesigned the dispensing process and introduced new stock monitoring measures so that you don't have to wait for your medicines, and we've freed up our pharmacists to spend more time helping our customers.

As part of this, we're also bringing new technology into our pharmacies. This includes 24/7 prescription pick-up machines – meaning you can collect your medicine any time, day or night – and a text notification service, so we can let you know when your prescription is ready to collect.

I went to the Pharmacy a couple of days ago to collect my prescription and the lady at the counter and was advised that there was part of it missing and that they would reorder it for the next day. She asked me to come back the next day which was fine. On returning, I was informed by another female member of staff that the originally missing part of my prescription had been ready since the 4th of July. She was quite abrupt and I felt she was keen to put blame on me for this when I had only been in a couple of days before to collect it. A pharmacist then chipped in and said that it had been waiting over a month to be collected. I pointed out that I collect my medication monthly and at no point had I been advised that it was waiting for me. I had just presumed that I hadn't ticked the box for this medication on the previous months order. Why was the previously ordered medication not given to me when I went in a couple of days ago? If I was unaware that it was waiting for me then I would not have known to collect it beforehand. They seem to lack the efficency and organisation and are too willing to put blame on the customer for their mistakes. If there was another Pharmacy is the village I would use it. I have had too many problems here.

Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for your feedback detailing your experience while visiting our pharmacy. It seems there has been a lack in communication from the pharmacy, we expect all our pharmacies to deliver a high standard of customer service, I would like to apologise that this wasn’t delivered to a high standard on this occasion. I can assure you that this feedback has been passed onto the Regional Development Manager (RDM) who covers the pharmacies in this area, who will address these issues with the branch staff. Once again, I apologise for the service you have received, however if you have any further concerns then please do not hesitate to contact us on yourexperience@well.co.uk Many Thanks Chelsea

Staff had forgotten to order my prescription then had the cheek to say it must have been stopped when I had been on it for nearly 20 years the pharmacist was very rude to me when I told her it can’t get stopped just like that this chemist is getting so bad with prescriptions

Hello, Thank you for your message informing us of your recent experience with our Well Acle - The Street branch and I am very sorry to hear of the poor service you have received. Please be assured we take your feedback seriously and the Regional Manager who is responsible for this branch has already been notified. I will ask the branch to review their procedures we have in place as it is really disappointing to hear that these have not been followed. I understand that it must be really frustrating to hear your prescription had not been ordered when the branch should be responsible for this. Once again please accept my apologies and thank you for bringing this to our attention. If you have any further concerns or questions you can contact us directly at yourexperience@well.co.uk. Kind Regards, Well Pharmacy Superintendent's Team.
