Husband discharged from a hospital late on a Friday night. His insulin pen had been changed to a different make and had only one days worth of insulin left in it. So no prescription & his GP dispensary closed for weekend. I took pen and hospital discharge papers to Boots, explained predicament & although they did not have these particular pens in stock they phoned around other pharmacies in Ely to find one that did. On another occasion I was recommended by health professional to purchase a certain cream for husband that Boots did not have in stock and they placed a special order for him to collect later in the week.
