My elderly mother has used this pharmacy for while and has put up with a very RUDE member of staff and finally today she returned home upset, this is not what you expect from your local pharmacy.she was spoken to like a naughty child as if she was wrong with her prescription and guess what she wasn't after contacting GP. So avoid this pharmacy if you need help or advice. Maybe a certain member of staff should have further training when dealing with sick and elderly patients and Google the word empathy as that's important!

On receiving a doctors prescription from Hooton chemist in Horwich I found I was unable to open the tablets so I returned to the chemist to ask for help only to be told because I had open the box there was nothing they could do. I tried to explain how could I know that I could not.get the tablets out if I had not opened the box and could they change them for another box which I could open but once again told No it's a manufacturer fault and to use a knife to open the tablets( just what you need when in pain) so there was nothing thery could do.I was spoken to in a rude and uncalled for manner and given no help whatsoever. I am 80 years of age and was discussed with the treatment I received.
