I have a certain antidepressant medication. My daughter went to pick my prescription up from Boots chemist in Heywood. Told they did not have it n stock and could not guarantee to have it the following day ? They offered her a different make of antidepressants but the tablets my GP orders are the only ones I can tolerate . They received the actual prescription from my GP two days previous but they never fill the prescription until it is picked up . They invariably then discover they are out of stock . Why can they not prepare the medication on receipt of the prescription they would then have time to order if they are low on stock. Assistant never apologised nor offer any help. This happens time after time meaning you constantly have to return the following day. It's so frustrating and upsetting if I am not able to go out due to my illness and I have to ask my family to go pick it up. People are prescribed medication because they need it we do not have a choice . This applies to everyone. The whole system needs updating , more stock kept in store etc.
