Went in yesterday to pick up some otc pain relief for ongoing issues with severe menstrual cramps. Have used this pharmacy before because it's somewhere I walk past regularly and it's convenient. I am well aware that the pain relief I buy is an opioid and so have to be careful, so only use it for 3 days per month. One pack is 16 doses, so not quite enough for 2 months' worth of what I would consider safe and effective pain relief ( believe me, I have tried all sorts). The pharmacist on duty advised me they were out of stock (fair enough), but then proceeded to admonish me for having bought the same pain relief from there before, that it's for short-term use (which is how I use it, albeit monthly), and that I need to see my GP for a pain relief prescription! I don't feel I need to waste my GP's time by asking for a prescription to treat monthly menstrual cramps that I feel I can safely manage myself using otc meds. I was so taken-aback by the pharmacist's attitude that I just left feeling that I couldn't explain my situation, and am now looking for another pharmacy. Any recommendations? |

Wrong prescription twice now. First time it was my insulin. Luckily i noticed the error before using it, otherwise I would not be here now. Written on behalf of a disabled friend who cannot report this for them self |
