We were recommended to attend MG&A through our school being the only opticians in the area who do a specific Dyslexia eye test. On arrival we were kept waiting before we were approached and then eventually seen. Partly due to the fact we completed a dyslexia questionnaire prior to arrival as requested, yet the optician appeared to be reading the whole thing through when we got there anyway.
The test was complete and it was felt our child would benefit from a colour overlay and had a slight prescription. We ordered some glasses and paid accordingly. Nothing was confirmed as to what the extra money paid for in terms of the dyslexia test. We left feeling rather cheated, as although the test was clearly carried out, we had no results of this given to us at the time. It was only after I argued the point a few days later, that they reluctantly sent confirmation of their findings in an email.
To top it off, the glasses didn't arrive when promised and I failed to receive a call to say when they had arrived. It was only after chasing I was told they were there waiting. The glasses were expensive/designer and didn't come with their own cleaning cloth which I also thought odd.
And finally in this catalogue of events, I keep receiving examination reminders despite the fact I have told them repeatedly we have gone elsewhere and asked to be removed from any notifications.
We were very unimpressed and disappointed from start to finish and certainly wont be going back. |
