The Home First Therapy unit was contacted by my GP after I had an acute inflammation and swelling in my leg and was unable to get out of bed. The physio. came to see me and after a good examination suggested I should contact my GP as there was a possibility of DVT. (Fortunately after tests the verdict was a Bakers Cyst which had ruptured.) The physio contacted the home care team and the rehab assistant came out and measured for a stair rail to help me with the stairs. Within a few days they fitted the rail which has helped enormously. The physio came again to check on progress and gave me some instructions for exercises to help with an arthritic knee. I cannot fault the care and attention I was given and as a 77 year old woman (who is still 60 in her head) I was very impressed by the range of care that was available. Thank you so much to all the teams involved.
