I changed over to Oakfield Surgery about 6 months ago after having several bad experiences at the previous practise I was with. Ever since moving over I have had excellent service. I always manage to get quick appointments, I feel like the doctors actually listen to what I have to say and they have been extremely helpful in getting me follow up appointments and reffered to specialists after a recent health issue.

How often do you find in a company that staff changes on a regular bases reflect just how this business is being run. Oak field falls into this category . Doctors come and go,new staff appear in all areas, nurses replace doctors. Last week I was bitten by a dog and have been told I must wait one week to have a jab. I have been with this practice since 1966. I am Deputy Mayor of Newmarket and expect people of Newmarket to have a better service than I have received. I am afraid the problem is a management problem and the. finger must point to the top of this practice.

We have been through a period of significant change in the last 12 months following the retirement of some of our long term staff. However, we are now fully staffed again and hope you will find normal service resumes. If you have any specific concerns about your care, please contact the surgery directly so we can address them.

We're able to get an on the day appointment at the surgery, however, the nature of the staff and doctors there is on the cold side and both times we've visited the doctors have showed a lack of interest and friendliness. It's like they are just going through the motions rather than medicine being their vocational passion. Both times we visited we have waited over 45 minutes past our allocated appointment slot. Not helpful when you have an unwell toddler with you.
