I have recently attempted to have a conversation with a doctor regarding my father. He has Alzheimers along with other health conditions. I spoke to a receptionist who booked a phone appointment. I requested it be me that they phoned. This was written down however they did not call me. I had previously tried e-consult, explaining in detail that they needed to call me... they called my dad. Why do the doctors not fully read the notes prior to ringing... it took long enough to fill it all out!

After experiencing severe asthma attack and rushed to A&E where I was given steroids and asthma pump and asked to follpw up with my GP. This was 2 months ago. I now have no asthma pump and my chest is like a rattle snake. Phoned up Clements Practice 6 times in the past couple if weeks both at 8am and 1pm prompt. Each time being on the phone at least 20 minutes whilst put in a queue...most times I was No. 20 in the queue. When finally I was No. 1, the receptionist asks your name and date of birth, and the nature of your call, only to be told 'Sorry theres no appointments' today try tomorrow. Tried the next day and still told the same answer! How bad do I gave to be to get an appointment?

The Surgery apologises for the experience you have encountered n making an appointment and any service that has not met your expectations. The current system of contacting the Surgery will change from 27 Aug 2019 and we are introducing E Consult. If you would like to know more, please visit the Surgery Website or ask at reception. Until that date the current system remains and is at 0800 & 1300 daily, we release appointments just for “on the day”. These are for a variety of different staff including GP’s, Advanced Nurse Practitioner Prescribers, Physician Associates, Advanced Emergency Care Practitioners, Pharmacists and Physiotherapists. Patients are able to phone or access online for the purpose of booking in advance for nurse appointments, especially blood tests and chronic disease related matters. Visited surgery 19 may 2019 with what turned out to be a dislocated and broken wrist .was told sat am is for emergencies only .only wanted an opinion .this surgery is not fit for purpose ,try getting an appointment .its a joke .needs a good shake up .

Dear Sir It is believed you attended the Surgery Saturday 18 May and were advised to attend A&E with the problem you presented with at the front desk. Saturday morning is out of hours service for emergencies or pre-booked appointments. The Surgery apologies for the experience you have encountered in making an appointment and any service that has not met standards in your expectation. At 0800 & 1300 daily on week days, the Appointment System is configured to release appointments for “on the day”. These are for GP’s, Advanced Nurse Practitioner Prescribers, Physician Associates, Advanced Emergency Care Practitioners, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists and Nurses. Patients are able to phone or access online for the purpose of booking in advance for Nurse appointments, especially blood tests and Chronic Disease related matters.
