This surgery is a joke you can never get through on the phone and when you do there are never appointments available all I ever get I'd the nurse that just types up the symptoms I can do this myself .Four times I've been in about my hand each time they palm me off to say it will heal when it isn't . Also told them about serious symtoms I've been having she asked me nothing niether did she check blood pressure or heart

On the advice of my doctor I was told that if the symptoms for a recent medical problem reoccured I was to arrange an appointment to see him straight away Based on this request I contacted this surgery to make an appointment requesting a time early in the morning or as late as possible due to work commitments I did not at the time request an urgent appointment I was informed that I would have to telephone at 8 a. m and 'see if you can get something then' when I ask could I make a future appointment I was told ' what do I do with the other 20,000 patients' There is obviously a serious problem with the reception area in general as a few weeks before I had been to this surgery with my Wife who stood at the queue waiting area to be seen, a receptionist asked my Wife to go forward asking what the problem was and when my Wife started to reply was told tercly that another woman was before her With the number of signs stating that the receptionists are not to suffer any abuse it may be an idea if these one's are sent on a course of either customer handling or manners The idea of telephoning at 8am is also impractical let's just assume I'm in my 80s have walking difficulties and do not drive on low income (no taxi) and I am told my appointment is within 15 - 30 minutes it's the only time available I would like an answer to that problem...

Appointments can only be booked by phoning between 8-8.30 am. This is both for routine and emergency appointments. Meaning you can never get through as the phoneline is so busy. If you do manage to get an appointment it is same day only, no advance booking. This is extremely unhelpful for those of us that have to take time off work.
