This is the worst surgery I have ever had the misfortune to attend. I have c.o.p.d my prescription should take 2 days but nearly always takes 7-10 days to get. Most of the doctors are ok, but one who I saw Was rude, abrupt and cared more about the cost of my medication than my concerns on the day. This doctor finally said that he was only allowed 10 minutes with each patient and he'd already given me over 20. I've never had a doctor say that to me before. He made me feel as though I was wasting his time. The other day I asked for extra oramorph as I had used extra due to having excruciating pain with having pleurisy. This was only the second time I'd asked for extra in over 14 years. It was this rude doctor I spoke to. He said it was dangerous to take more. I tried to tell him when I was in hospital they gave me extra when I had pleurisy, but he wouldn't give it me. The next day I saw my chest specialist and he saw the pain I was in and gave me the extra I needed. This rude doctor then stopped my normal pain killers which I needed, doubled my zomorph, which if he had read my files properly he would have seen that I was coming off zomorph as I was hoping to go back on transplant list. I was previously on 30ml and had dropped down to 10ml. He then said I had to have all my pain medication on a weekly basis, which was laughable, between the doctors surgery and the chemist they can hardly get my prescriptions right in 10 days. I'm always having to phone up about my prescriptions being late. I'm now looking into moving to another doctors.

They don't do appointments so I would have to spend a day off work to call up at 08:00 to try and maybe get an appointment for that day. Not good at all as I only have a certain amout of days off I can take a year. I find myself having to go to walk-in clinics elsewhere to get seen for minor things. Then there are the "care navigators". I don't know what catchment area size is used, but I would imagine to find such unhelpful and inept yet hostile people you would have to go far. How people with such poor people skills can make it into a public facing role is beyond me. Ten minutes on the phone and I feel like I'm a character in a Kafka novel. I'm going to try and get in at another doctors as soon as I can. Woodhouse clinic seems to be on the side of disease and germs. Only go here if you don't care about your health. Because they dont!

My son had an appointment tonight at 7.30pm after being referred by his doctor at Duke Medical Centre S2. It took him 1 hr 20 minutes to walk there only to find it closed, he then had to walk it all the way back home, fuming doesn't even begin to explain how angry I am!
