I have been with the surgery for over 30 years and always found them excellent. The past few years have been difficult for all of us especially the medical profession. This surgery has gone from bad to worse. The staff are excellent when you finally get thru. On answering your call it is a recorded msg you can then be in a queue for well over 1hr. The next available appointment is then 3-4 weeks so what do we do:keep booking an appointment just incase we get Ill? I feel sorry for them and the pressure they are under but something seriously NEEDS to be done.

I’ve used this practice since it moved from Burgoyne road . And I used that since I was born in 1956 the receptionist always try to get you in the Doctors are all good. It’s the patients that are the problem as 340 appointments missed last month is out 112 hours wasted doctors and nurses time wasted. And appointments that could have been given out to others.

Phoning to make an appointment highly consists of the "your surgery is now closed" automated message or the engaged tone. No over counter booking allowed Ringing on premises is frowned upon You can only have an emergency appointment for the morning if you ring in the morning. If the morning emergency slots are filled you have to ring back at 2pm you cannot book afternoon whilst on the phone in the morning. When ringing the minute the clock strikes 2pm the answer to "hello I've spoken to an NHS clinician on the NHS helpline the doctor should be aware and I have been told to tell you I need to see a doctor within the next 6 hours" is "we haven't got anything today the best we can do is tomorrow".
