I have recently come across something that is indeed very rare, a GP that actually listens, takes into account my views on treatment and is someone that is not jaded by the day to day workings of an over stretched NHS. Someone that is more than willing to go that extra mile. I recently had a difficult to diagnose and consequently difficult to treat condition affecting my left forearm and hand which required several visits to see one particular GP to resolve the issue. At no point was I given the impression that I was being a nuisance, in fact totally the opposite, with the doctor appearing to do the best that could be done to resolve my situation. Having quickly realised my condition could not be managed by primary care the GP made a referral to secondary care and it was this speed of action that probably resulted in an almost 100% improvement in my condition. I was actually seen at RDGH within 4 hours. A delay in this referral,,I was informed by my consultant, could have lead to long term nerve damage and loss of function. This quality of service continues as the GP continues to give support following surgery. A good word too for the reception staff who appears to have the ability to get me a doctors appointment in a timely fashion everytime. Thank you.

I have been a patient with this surgery for many years. I have seen GP’s come and go but the ones we have at present are fantastic. One Dr has been absolutely brilliant recently with me and my mum, I recently lost my dad and she helped care for him in his last few weeks. She was kind, patient and understanding everything you want in a doctor. All the receptionists are great too, very helpful. I would recommend this practise to everyone
