Thank you for taking the time to feedback via NHS choices. Firstly may I apologise that you had a wait to be seen by the GP. I have looked at this mornings surgery and at the time you had your appointment. I have also spoken to the GP running that same day surgery. Patients are told when booking these same day appointments that they are for 1 condition and are 5 minute appointments. There are occasions when a GP sees a patient who may need more than this allotted time and this inevitably has a knock on with the other appointments. I can only apologise that on this occasion this resulted in you having to wait due to the GP having to spend additional time with a patient. We are always looking at ways to improve our service and the way we offer same day appointments for those emergencies on the day whilst managing demand for more routine appointments. One of the major positives is that as a practice we are able to offer a book on the day appointment and on this occasion you were able to be seen on the same day by a GP.
