Poorly run Drs surgery, with 1 full time GP who runs an hour late at 9am, and she talks down to you like you are a 12 year old getting told off. Receptionists are rude and unhelpful.

Tried phoning up this morning 28th may to book an appointment with a doctor or midwife and after taking forever to get through to someone I eventually got through to reception which I then explained that I needed to see either a doctor or midwife as I am 10 weeks pregnant and I’ve been worried about how I have been feeling in last few weeks, the receptionist had a stand offish tone to her and she did not seem to really care or have any empathy with me or the situation, she came across unfriendly and aggressive and it felt like that my situation was not worth the appointment which made me feel even worse than I already do. As this is my first pregnancy and everything I’m going through I have never experienced before it would have been nice to have had even the slightest bit of compassion from the first point of call when contacting the surgery, it’s already a very emotional time and it was not made any better with the receptionist that was on today, being pregnant your doctors should be a place where if you feel unsure or nervous about anything that you can feel supported And comforted but again the receptionist was did not make me feel any of those. This definitely isn’t the first time that I’ve called up and had a awful experience with reception it seems they all seem to Be unfriendly and unhelpful.

I have been trying to make an appointment online to see my GP for a long time, there is only one permanent Doctor at this surgery, the rest have been moved on are often covered by Locums. Getting an appointment is harder due to lack of GPs, the receptionists are moved about between surgeries so you see a different one every time you go. Things seem to have gone downhill since the Old Palace merger.
