I didn't answer some of the above questions because I was told it was an emergency service so no appointments, no telephone contact. I just turned up, waited 55 minutes. Saw a nice doctor. He dealt with my infected finger and put me on antibiotics. The surgery was clean, and well looked after. I have 3 suggestions: (1) When walking in, the notice on the desk says "In the interests of confidentiality please wait to be called." A man was already waiting near the entrance, and I joined him. After a minute or two I thought how could they call me if they don't know my name, so I approached the desk and the receptionist asked to fill in a form to check in. Then she told me to take a seat. So that notice is misleading and it needs to be sorted. (2) Although most people have mobile phones to look at, I don't have one. I looked at some notices around the room but otherwise there's nothing to read while you're waiting, only a leaflet about shops in Duke's Lane - not very interesting.. So perhaps get the Metro paper (free) delivered ea ch day (3) the area with notices is interesting but there was still a box with brochures for Brighton Fringe (May) there. Should have been removed at the end of May. Apart from these suggestions, the service was wonderful and I was so grateful. Thank you. It was my first and only visit.

Too whom it may concern i'm reprorting a very unprofessional Gp visit. It was last Friday 28th of June afternoon at around 4 pm .This was at your Brighton station branch I saw one particular GP. I told him I had extreme stress at the moment that I needed some anti-anxiety medication. I showed him my Dr's Notes. Too show him I have severe PTSD from a Bad X Boyfriend & suffer from extreme anxiety etc.. He was very rude & unhelpful he actually laughed at Me. Saying I've been at work since 8 am I don't need this. He said he couldn't give Me anything too help Me. Printed out a mental health emergency number. Then made Me leave I was in tears the last thing you need when your feeling severely mentally unwell . Is someone laughing at you that is extremely unprofessional. No-one should be treated in this way It's disgusting were all human I needed help & all I got was laughed at.They made Me wait even longer than I Needed too as your receptionist didn't even put Me on the computer. Untill I complained about others being seen before Me . Who had only just turned up etc..

Thank you for your comments. We are very sorry for the treatment you received during your visit to the Walk In Centre. We have discussed your feedback at our last team meeting to ensure that this does not happen again. All the staff have been reminded to be empathetic and understanding to patients needs and requirements. The reception staff have been trained to enter patients details onto the system in a timely manner. During busy times of the day this process can take slightly longer depending on how many patients have arrived to be seen. We sincerely apologise for the delay and the inconvenience that has been caused. We have allocated two reception staff to the front reception desk, during busy times; in order to support one another.

I have had to come here many times recently and I always find that the services provided are pretty quick to access and the healthcare staff and reception staff I have dealt with have always been very respectful of my anxieties and given very respectful and professional assistance. Obviously it’s not ever an ideal situation to end up needing medical help but they have made it as little of a chore as possible and I’m grateful to them for that.
