I have just been diagnosed with epilepsy and have been in some hardcore drugs for 2 years now. Recently I have had pretty severe side effects from the drug I am taking at the moment and was told by my specialist to watch out for signs of hyponetremia which can cause coma and even death. I made an appointment making sure they knew the severity of my condition - I needed bloods tested at this point as I hadn’t had any done since starting the meds (should have had 4 by now)
I get to the drs for my appointment, sat waiting only to be told it’s been cancelled and so they rebooked me the following week. Go to that appointment only to be told again it’s been cancelled. The week before this I was talking about my symptoms and that completely flew over the drs head, instead gave me a prescription of pills that are having manufacturing issues.
I have just been to a different drs to register because this is ridiculous!
I have to even go to the hospital and ask for my test paperwork to increase my meds because the drs say they don’t have it when it’s been sent over 1 month ago!
The receptionists are rude and everytime I’ve been, i have been waiting 10-15 mins to check in because they’re gabbing amongst themselves.
Wouldn’t trust them with my families health at all.

Wouldnt recomend this doctors wasted time on many occasions todays apointment took it to far. No call to cancel or let me no. Staff waste of time and doctors mever helpful. Sent me home with my 2yro day later ends up in hos via ambulance. Dont think they care about patients more interested in home time. I finished an apointment doc was out straight after me. Again no help with symptons. Now filling forms to a new doctors. Walk in cent from now on not wasting time with this so called good practise |

I am a patient that suffers with depression and have been in in a bad place for over the last couple of years - but the support I have had all the way through has been excellent. I do believe the changeover has been badly publicised. I can only say thank you for the service I have received from Leigh Family Practice. I have every confidence that the surgery is going to keep growing and growing and only going to get better. The staff go above and beyond to help me and help keep me calm when needed. I have continuity of care with my GP and I feel I am greatly supported . Staff are considerate, compassionate and willing to go that step further for me. Thank you Leigh Family Practice. |
