The receptionist was rude and uncaring when my medication iwas on the point of running out, I spent three and a half hours trying to get through before the receptionist barked “Don’t shout at me. When wishing to request an item which omissions on my repeat prescription the response was “You will have to book a double appointment, when trying to do so the receptionist complained that there are no appointments available for 4 weeks as we are fully booked GP only works three half days a week. Need one really say more about the governance and planning of NHS England as this doctors practice and level of patient care and support is clearly the worst in England.

I recently had to visit Lister House for an appointment for an ongoing stress and anxiety condition. Parking is always an issue at LH, but on this occasion it was particularly bad. The patient parking area was full and had cars queuing in it, so I had to wait outside the pharmacy while there was room for me to turn round so I could try and find a space on a side street. There were cars behind me so I couldn't reverse out. While I was waiting there (a matter of a few minutes) a member of staff (reception/office) came out and got in her car which was parked in the patient parking area, and then proceeded to berate me for parking outside the pharmacy. I tried to tell her that I wasn't 'parked' (my engine was still running) and that I was trying to turn round but had no where to go. She kept saying they needed access for ambulances - I know that, but short of tele-porting myself out of there I couldn't do anything! Can I just say that parking wouldn't be as bad at your surgeries if the staff didn't park in the patient areas. There are designated areas for staff parking and I would never dream of parking in those. This is not the first time I have seen staff parking there, and it is not the only surgery it happens at. Recently at Coleman Street, I had to wait in the car park due to a mix up with my appointment time, and I saw at least six members of staff (nurses and office staff) getting into and out of cars there. Given the reason for my visit to LH today, it is no wonder that my stress and anxiety levels were very high by the time I had my appointment.

Dear Patient, Firstly may I apologise for the delay in acknowledging your complaint. We have had multiple issues with accessing the website and have only just accessed this account. I'm sorry to hear you have had difficulty while trying to park at the practice. We understand this is an issue to access our service but unfortunately we are not currently in a position to extend our parking facilities. We do however ask that staff do not park in the other spaces, so I'm disappointed to hear a member of our team has used the patient spaces- and then spoke to you in the matter described. Please rest assured this incident will be discussed with the team. If you would like to pursue this complaint, please contact me at the surgery to discuss this further and identify the member of staff involved. Regards, Practice Manager St Thomas Road Surgery

Dear Patient, Firstly may I apologise for the delay in acknowledging your complaint. We have had multiple issues with accessing the website and have only just accessed this account. I'm sorry to hear you didn't receive any communication about the changes to the practice. Often, if we have sent multiple letters requesting a response and have not heard from you - we assume that the patient is no longer registered at the address, and for confidentiality reasons remove the patient from our practice list. We're sorry this does not seem to be the case, I hope you re-registered at the time of your visit. If you would like to discuss this with me, or any other issues you may have had since - please feel free to contact me at the surgery. Regards, Practice Manager St Thomas Road Surgery
