I'm not a patient but came to the minor surgery clinic. Dr Bottling and the assisting Nurse were amazing and very caring! Sadly this can't be said of the grumpy receptionist who barked at the patients (including me!) and sighed and tutted. As a GP Receptionist myself, it was sad to witness and I now understand why we get such a bad reputation! | |||||||

I phoned the practice this morning to speak to a doctor at some point during the day ,only to be told sorry there’s no doctor available. I then asked to be put through to the practice manager. I’m sorry, was told, she’s not in today 8/12/20 but she might be back on Thursday if you have a complaint. As it goes I didn’t have a complaint , I came out of major surgery a week before and all I wanted was a doctor to write a prescription. I feel that the receptionist was totally unprofessional and cannot believe that the surgery was totally devoid of a doctor to talk to. I have been a patient of this surgery for a good few years now.and have always given glowing testimonials of this to friends and family ,but feel this time let down. | |||||||

Generally get good care when we do see someone. The issue is just with getting to that point. I’ve tried sometimes to call 50+ times from 8am only to keep getting “user busy” as opposed to joining a queue and deciding if I want to commit to a long wait or not - even when calling at 8am sharp. When you visit the reception can be a bit rude, one member of staff in particular. If not for these issues, the care of the nurses and doctors makes up for the poor front of house experience | |||||||
