At Patience Lane Surgery they seem in my opinion strive to provide the highest quality standards of care. They are a friendly and helpful team of doctors, nurses and reception staff.
As a patient I make the most of the surgery and service they offer with my long term illnesses. All the staff seem to be motivated to offer a VERY high level of care for each and every patient.
I recommend this surgery because in my opinion it is well managed to take care of ALL their patients to a VERY high standard. |

This was only my second appointment at this gp's and nobody in my family will be going back as this dr not only prescribes medication that is incompatible with other conditions but is also inappropriate and unprofessional. These following experiences are my families experiences of the main dr. The doctor prescribed my husband a skin medication that is so incompatible with a chronic bowel condition the leaflet states it shouldn't be taken in bold capital letters. We could maybe forgive this if the bowel condition hadn't already been discussed in the same consultation. I'm currently trying to get post natal depression under control and went today for a review, half way through discussing my mental health the doctor then switched and told me I had missed an appointment. When I queried this as I have never missed an appointment the doctor became rude and belligerent and wouldn't let me get a word in and kept repeating that I had missed an appointment. This was completely inappropriate in the middle of a consultation never mind the fact that they accused me if lying about it. When I asked them to just give me the prescription and leaflet regarding a mental health organisation who could help me the doctor told me they weren't going to give me a prescription and snatched back the phone number I had picked up from the desk. When I challenged them to give me the script as they couldn't just leave a patient without medication and help they relented. This is completely unprofessional and inappropriate behaviour for a medical professional |

I have been with this drs for 42 years and never had a problem until recently when trying to get appointments it proves very difficult as it takes a week or more to see the dr . Certain reception staff seem to have a problem to do normal reception duties Opening times are wrong on this website as 1 afternoon a week they shut for staff training Reply from Dr G Aruna Prasad - Patience Lane Surgery Wed, 30 Jul 2014 16:04:21 +0100 We are sorry that you feel unhappy with the service you have received from our surgery. Unfortunately, without knowing your specific concerns regarding the reception staff, it is very difficult to address the problem you mention. Please be assured that all our regular reception team are well trained and experienced. Please contact us directly so that we can discuss your specific concerns and hope to resolve them. It is unfortunate that you experienced a problem obtaining an appointment with the doctor but it is very unusual for a patient to have to wait for over a week. We aim to offer an appointment with a doctor within 48 hours but occasionally this is not possible. You may have to wait longer if you wish to see a particular doctor. We have an appointment system which opens up appointments every day so sometimes patients are advised to call back the next day. A patient will always be seen in an emergency. We do close for an afternoon once a month (not once a week) for staff training and this is common practice in surgeries in the area. The dates for this are shown in surgery and on our website. Should you wish to discuss any of these matters further please do not hesitate to contact our Practice Manager. |
