I'm getting used to the call back system, at least you eventually speak to someone, whether you get an appointment is another matter. One of the things that does really annoy me is, you see your gp with a few symptoms, your told we'll start with blood tests, fair enough. When you ring to get the results, if they're OK you're told ,no further action required. But nothing about seeing a dr about what other tests you might need to find out what's wrong. Definitely needs looking at. Also there s no follow up on mental health issues. Ive been on antidepressants for 14 years and never been asked for a follow up. A family member was struggling, he rang and was told to raise the strength of his medication, he had already had that done with no change. Then he was offered a change of medication, then nothing ,no follow up. He rang himself to ask what to do next ,he was asked how he was, he told him that he wasn't doing very well, the drs answer was ,well carry on taking the tablets. And that was it | |||||||

Not regular visitors of the doctors and lucky for us because you can never get an appointment this is when you eventually get through that is. Not being able to book a doctors appointment on the day that you unwell and being told constantly to ring back time and time again really is unacceptable in this day and age. And yet you can book advanced appointments for the nurse. There is one receptionist who I can name but won’t, she has a terrible attitude, never makes eye contact with you and is constantly rude and thinking she knows best. If you give her the same attitude as she gives you she certainly does not like it. My husband has been with this surgery 50 years and myself for 25 years and it has never been as bad as this. We didn’t even know it had merged with the Church Street doctors surgery!!! We dread the day we will need to see a doctor more and more as we get older, let’s just hope it won’t be the case as we won’t be able to get seen if today’s fiasco is anything to go by. We would never recommend this doctors surgery, come back Dr Senior, Dr Cole your surgery NEEDS YOU!! | |||||||
