Having looked up the opening times on the website got in the car and drove from the other side of village to for prescription to find out the reception was closed due to staff training, there was a tiny note on the door that means nothing when you are already there. Suggestion if you can put the dates on the door how a bout putting them on the website to save people a wasted journey.this is not the first time this has happened.

This surgery and it’s staff need to get their act together and communicate better with each other and their patients. Having urinary incontinence and arthritis in my feet I always use the patient transport services for my hospital appointments. I called the surgery last week to book the transport and was told by the male call handler that he would book the transport and if there was any issues he would call me back. I never heard anything until the day of my appointment an hour before I was due to see the consultant regarding my much needed surgery as I am in so much pain. And they called me firstly to say that they had forgotten to book the transport. I wasn’t happy so the lady I spoke to got her supervisor to call me. Which she did and advised me that I wasn’t eligible to the transport services because I had walked into the surgery which is 30 seconds from my front door. Regardless of the countless other times I’ve used the transport services she now deemed that I’m not eligible. I was extremely frustrated as you can imagine having been up in absolute agony since 1am I was asking what she was going to do to resolve the situation to which she replied “nothing” she told me that the person who took my transport request was a new member of staff and didn’t know what he was doing. I just cannot understand why they waited to an hour before my appointment to tell me there was no transport. I could have made other arrangements. So now I have to miss my appointment and wait another 6 months in agonising pain all because of their clerical error! The girl I spoke to was so patronising towards me she made me feel like it was my fault for having so many illnesses. I’m utterly devastated.
