absolutely disgusting!
If I could give zero stars I would without a doubt! I have been at this surgery since I was a young girl and never had any issues until recently. I was waiting in line to speak to a receptionist and they obviously didn't realise I was stood there as I was there for a good 20 minutes. What I heard was disgusting unprofessional and quite frankly rude! there was two receptionists i know there names as I've been going there most my life. They were both sat discussing patients in a rude manner, which one of them was my own mum! the things which was been said was incredibly hurtful and disgusting!
naturally I wanted to interrupt this but had to control my anger as I was so upset. My mum is a frail old lady who depends on the doctors help and many of times has been on the phone crying in pain for an appointment to the women her self! after hearing this I walked straight out without any confrontation.
I can happily say after years of been a patient here, I am now moving doctors along with my entire family! I really do hope the manager receives this review and acts upon this professionally! |

I joined the surgery in 2016 not once have I been able to get an appointment when iv first called iv had to complain just to be able to get an appointment on a number of times iv phoned for a appointment for my baby who was premature due to her struggling to breath and every time they have refused to give me appointment resulting in my daughter ending up in hospital with bad bronchitis due to the surgery refusing to give me an appointment before she got too ill. On phoning this morning I complained and was told I couldn't have a appointment unless it was very urgent and then I wouldn't be given one I would be put through to triage. It's just not good enough the reception staff are so in helpful and don't speak to you on the manner they should do |

Eventually got through at 8.30 to be told no appointments at any of 3 practices and no telephone appointments either would have to go to wic explained problem think I need antibiotics for uti and its not possible for me to get to wakefield today, is it really too much to expect a 3 minute telephone conversation with a dr to establish if antibiotics required?? I guess will have to enter the lottery again tomorrow of whether can get an appointment. The reception staff come across very unwilling to help, I've worked in nhs for many years and we would always do our best to help a patient. Perhaps on the training afternoons they could do some customer care training. Reply from Welbeck Street Health Centre Thu, 01 Mar 2018 10:55:14 Z Dear Patient, We are sorry to hear that you have been struggling to get an appointment. As a practice we are aware that appointments are very difficult to access at the moment, but we are constantly reviewing the situation as we know that patient demand is increasing. I can assure you that we are working extremely hard to try and resolve this. We are also trying to input a centralised triage system which should improve patient contact and access in the near future. I am sorry to hear that you have concerns about staff training, but if you would like to discuss this further, I would be grateful if you could contact me on 01977 664141 and press 1 for Pinfold Surgery. Kind regards Sue Allaway Patient Liaison Manager |
