It is difficult to get through on telephones was recently 23rd on line!! Then you just can't get appointments for weeks and weeks. II have been at this surgery for 45 yrs and I am sadly going to leave. We do welcome feedback good and bad as it helps us to shape our services. We are very sorry to learn that you are dissatisfied with the telephone and appointment systems. We are a very busy practice and try hard to ensure that all our patients have access to the most appropriate care. We have trained our reception team in care navigation, and use a triage system to ensure that all patients are offered the most suitable appointment with the correct service. This could be a GP, Advanced nurse practitioner, Pharmacist, Practice nurse, Health care assistant or even a referral to an external service. I do not visit the doctor's surgery much,but whenever I do I find the staff very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
From the initial enquiry at the reception desk,the phone call to arrange an appointment at my convenience,it all makes a visit to the surgery much more relaxing.
I was a little anxious about my visit but the healthcare assistant explained what I needed to do and was supportive throughout.
I moved a short distance away from the surgery some time back but continue to come back to this surgery as I always find it a positive experience.
