Nasty staff and poor communication. I saw a nurse for a routine check-up. She was overbearing to the point of aggression. I had not been told to take a urine sample with me and she behaved as though it was my fault when I didn't have one. My blood pressure was unusually very high for me and I tried to discuss this with her. She dismissed my concerns rudely, saying she had patients with much higher blood pressure readings. She ordered me to take readings twice a day at home, saying 'then we'll see if you really have a problem' in a manner that implied I had invented the high blood pressure. I suffer from long-term chronic anxiety which became unendurable in the presence of this woman. She did not listen to me when I tried to tell her that I was in a state of terror and I had to leave without getting the blood test. In this practice, I have found that a number of GPs, nurses and receptionists have very poor listening skills. They appear to have zero understanding of mental health issues, or perhaps just don't want to support people with such difficulties. They seem interested in patients more as financial units than as human beings. I don't like posting reviews like this, however I feel unable to talk to the practice about what happened because I simply risk more of the same treatment. Of course, according to word-of-mouth in Morley, other GP surgeries here aren't much better. I do feel that the nurse I saw recently was exceptionally unprofessional and should not be allowed to treat vulnerable people in the way that she does.

Sent a form to register for this GP around the 13th of August, had a phone call on the 26th of August requesting me to go in with ID to finish getting me registered. I did this within 10 minutes of receiving the call as I live very local and the lady said it would take a few days to get me on the system. Called the reception today (13/09) to enquire how to book an appointment/blood test as requested by 111 only to hear they didn’t register me as they “hadn’t seen ID” even though I’d gone in 3 weeks ago with two forms of ID and two different people at reception witnessed this. The lady on the phone was blunt and rude and didn’t seem to care about this issue. I’ve read bad reviews so was apprehensive about registering but I went ahead anyway only to find that my experience has also been bad. For someone who suffers with anxiety, to be spoken to as though I’m wasting someone’s time and my issues don’t matter is not something a GP surgery should be doing.

All I can say is that they are on a par with the other GP surgeries in Morley but that is no way meant to be complimentary!
