Ampleforth surgery has looked after myself and my now grown up children all our lives, we could not wish for better doctors and staff, polite kind and caring. They have gone the extra mile with my son who has mental health problems and I can’t thank them enough.

Had to contact them several times with various health issues recently all staff very patient and helped resolve my problems with kindness and excellent medical knowledge and refer me on to hospital where necessary. Thank you very much

I am not a frequent user of healthcare, but I was astounded with how good the care I received was and the ease of access, as well as how accommodating the surgery staff were. I had telephoned to see whether a nurse practitioner could look at an infected wound on my Achilles’ tendon, and was given an appointment for the next morning at a time to suit me. I attended and was seen straightaway, by a superb nurse who was professional, but also very personable and funny. After cleaning and dressing the wound, and prescribing antibiotics I was given advice on what to do if the infection got worse. After two days I telephoned for advice as to what to do about redressing, and the dispensary team we’re very helpful, going above and beyond what was necessary. I received a call back within 15 minutes from the nurse, and was given another appointment to come in and see her. Again, this was to suit my convenience, and she saw me within 90 minutes of my call to the dispensary. When I attended I was met again with the same excellent standards of care and good humour. I cannot praise the practice highly enough, and Anne’s individual care in particular. Thank goodness that there is such great healthcare provided, and thank goodness for the NHS in general.
