My Wife,Sylvia visited the Dr on 4th Feb 2019 with a aggressive cough,second visit,since early Dec 2018-the Dr advised a Chest X-ray-this was carried out on the 4th Feb 2019,Selby,two weeks ago she Tele the Surgery requesting a update-advised no record on file-I then Tele Selby Hospital who confirmed they had transferred the data to Sherburn Surgery on the 5th Feb 2019,I Tele the Surgery to be informed they had found the report and the offered the earliest date a Dr could report to my Wife-7th March 2019-BT phone-ONE MONTH plus-since,this week my Wife urgently visited a hospital,we are on holiday,had 4 Xrays-result within 50 min,now is on a 5 different medical daily program,appointment Mon next for a further visit. Question is;WHY has this Surgery taken OVER ONE MONTH to take Medicare of my Wife?,Sylvia is 76 yrs next,mentally worried about her healthcare by this Surgery. Sherburn Surgery please provide your reason for Sylvia’s lack of quality care. James, Written with Sylvia’s approval

For twelve years we were patients of this practice before moving to Wetherby. We were accorded outstanding medical support whether for "common-or-garden" treatment or referral to hospital for specialised treatment or operations, From the doctors to every member of the support staff we were always accorded five-star treatment. When we came to Wetherby we asked to stay as patients of the Sherburn practice but we had moved too far away. Many thanks : superb !! Philip and Monica.

I was suffering with work-related stress. The GP I saw gave me excellent care over a period of a year, seeing me every 2-3 weeks to check up on me and let me know that he was always there for me in between appointments, should the need arise. I sometimes had problems with reception staff, getting them to understand the importance of continuity of care, but when I was particularly stressed the GP made the next appointment for me, so that I didn’t have to fight for appointment. It got easier once I registered to book appointments on line.

Thank you for your positive comments. I am pleased that you have found the booking of appointments online and advantage but am sorry that you found it difficult to get the same service through our reception team.
