My GP is responsive to my (and my wife's well-informed) questions and suggestions, is intelligent (not all doctors are), friendly, and clear about prescriptions and related issues. The practice nurse is outstanding, very friendly, and is very intelligent too (not all nurses are). I have to travel a little way to attend the practice (I live in Jesmond), but I find that no burden given the high standard with which I am treated.I see that some people have been highly critical about the secretarial staff. For my part I have found them helpful and patient when I ring (which is fairly often).

We have been with regent Centre Medical Practice for about 2 years. We have changed from another practice following recommendations from friends. We have not been disappointed. This is an excellent practice with a very dedicated, friendly and helpful team. The doctors are very caring, thoughtful and thorough. Our children are well looked after. As a parent you always worry about something even when there is nothing to worry about. Two particular GPs are always willing to exclude any serious issues and to give reassurance. We always get appointments and staff are treating us with respect and dignity when we contact them or attend for a consultation. The waiting area is well organised and we never wait for a long time to be seen. The premises are light, easily accessible and clean. The staff makes us feel at ease each time when we attend with or without children. The doctors are very good at informing and explaining and keep us involved in decision making. We have developed deep trust in their clinical expertise after they have picked up several issues and organised investigations and treatment without delay. We can only recommend joining this practice.
