Have been with this medical practise since my birth half a centure and was always pleased with the care obtain from many of the old family doctors, who sadly are no longer there and have since been replaced by many others. One of the issues I have is the fact some of the receptionists seem to believe they are entitled to know why you wish to see or at the moment speak to a doctor and I don't share my confidential information about presenting issues with them, as in the past there have been certain receptionoists who liked to share information with others outside of the practise so once bitting twice shy. Another problem is the fact you can sit for up to an hour waiting for your booked appointment and no one apologies for same but if apatient is late then there's comments made. Issues with getting repeat prescriptions in a timely manner is another bug bear I have and the fact our local pharmasist always seems to get the blame for delays but if you speak to them they don't even have the prescriptions cause they are still in the surgery or haven't even been printed off the computer. Finally, doctors now a days don't seem to know how to listen to patients when they talk about the issue that has unfortunatley brought them to see a doctor. The patient knows their own body and what issues their having but time is always an issue so many a time the doctors speak over you or in my opinion uses the regular excuse, ''don't worry it's just a virus and will pass...', which sadly isn't always the cause. Would just like doctors and nurses, cause they have their querks, to listen to the patient and except their patients are the experts when they come to their own body.

Have a supposed user friendly IT system but it goes wrong, ' it fails to order your prescriptions' or is it more the surgery medics or lack of them. Posters all over the place stating you need to give 48 hours for a repeat but nothing about when a doctor will actually be available to sign them, never mind when they'll get to the chemist. Serious, as well as vital medications are left off for another day but the patient's condition remains unchanged and don't try to complain cause no one there listens. Poor service except for the 1 poor doctor trying their best to care for over 24000 patient with the occasional hand from total strangers, who forget the patient is the best judge of themselves.
