Been here all my life and the staff are always great. Can sometimes be a bit hard to get an appointment but the online patient access has really changed that, now I can book appointments when I want and with who I want.

I have been to this surgery four times in the past 12 months and have been dismissed as if I was wasting their time every time. On the first occasion I visited the surgery for a persistent cough (as the ads tell you, get it checked out if it persists after 3 weeks). I blew into the tube to check my breath output and was told by the male doctor 'well I believe you can blow out more than that but its fine we will take this score'. I thought they may have just been abrupt in nature so brushed it off. I went back to the doctors having had a crash in my car which flipped numerous times to discuss how much I was struggling behind the wheel of my new car and how I need to find ways of dealing because I am anxious for days before a long drive. This time I had a doctor who told me 'well time heels everything you don't want to go down the anti-depression routes so just give it some time'. This was 4 months after my accident and I had given this plenty of thought and really felt like I needed some support. Most recently I had some bad news from a routine smear test which concluded I had severe abnormal cells and will need further treatment to manage this. I booked an appointment with my GP in order to discuss what this meant and to discuss possible counselling on how to deal with stressful situations given I have tried to manage on my own and struggled. The doctor who I had never met before gave me information on the result with no compassion and when I went onto describe how I deal with stress and how I would like to discuss this with someone to manage this issue, the doctor replied 'well that could be a personality trait'. I was then given a number on the back of a piece of paper for a counselling NHS service. I have met three doctors of this surgery and all three had no compassion or tact. I will be moving surgeries promptly.
